1. Who we are

This app, "PDF Smart Tools" (the "App"), is provided by the app's developer ("we", "us", "our"). For any privacy questions, contact us at shanichaun9@gmail.com.

2. Your files stay on your device

All PDF operations — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, OCR, scanning, protecting, unlocking, signing, and organizing — are performed locally on your device. Your documents and images:

• are never uploaded to our servers or any cloud service by the App;
• are processed in your device's private app storage;
• remain under your control and are only shared if you choose to share them.

Temporary working copies may be created in the App's private cache during processing and are removed after the operation completes.

3. Information collected by third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect limited technical information as described in their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob (advertising)

We display ads through Google AdMob to keep the App free. AdMob may collect and process the device Advertising ID, coarse device and usage information, and IP address to serve and measure ads. The App requests non-personalized ads where possible. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Learn more: Google Ads Privacy.

Google Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used (for example, which tools are opened) so we can improve the App. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Firebase Crashlytics & Performance Monitoring

We use Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring to detect crashes and performance problems. These collect diagnostic data such as device model, OS version, and crash stack traces so we can fix issues. This data does not include the contents of your files.

Google Play Billing (subscriptions)

Optional "Pro" subscriptions are handled by Google Play Billing. Your payment is processed by Google — we never receive or store your card or payment details. We only receive a confirmation of your subscription status.

4. Device permissions

The App requests permissions only to provide its features:

• Storage / Media (photos and files): to open the PDFs and images you select and to save your results.
• Camera: only when you use the document-scanning feature, to capture pages.
• Internet: to load ads, deliver analytics/crash reports, and process subscriptions.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.

5. Data we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
• We do not access, read, or transmit the contents of your documents.
• We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention

Files you process stay on your device until you delete them. Temporary cache files are cleared after processing. Analytics and crash data are retained by Google per their standard retention policies.

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your choices & rights

• Ads: reset or limit ad personalization via your device's Advertising ID settings.
• Analytics: you may limit analytics via your device's Google settings.
• Depending on your location (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have rights to access or delete data held about you. Contact us to exercise these rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
